At Seattle Reproductive Medicine, our Patient Care Navigators have the unique opportunity to be an integral part of a fertility patient’s journey toward becoming parents. The Patient Care Navigator position at Seattle Reproductive Medicine will allow you to work closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team to provide excellent patient care while making a difference every day.

We are seeking a Patient Care Navigator to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Everett or Kirkland, WA (Based on your preference). This is a full-time position, fully onsite, working 8:30am - 5:00pm with one required holiday per year and four weekends per year, with an additional 2 on-call shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the care team (Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, and Ultrasonographers) to coordinate care plans and provide educational resources.
  • Maintain treatment plan checklists to ensure appropriate patient preparation, including screening requirements and treatment calendar outlines.
  • Follow up after all appointments to provide next steps as relayed by the provider.
  • Assist with scheduling and questions regarding appointment preparation.
  • Review and abstract outside patient records, inputting lab values into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Provide direction and resources for patients ordering anonymous donor sperm.
  • Accept/make phone calls regarding laboratory values and semen study results with appropriate explanation under the direction of the provider and/or registered nurse.
  • Serve as primary contact for the patient by monitoring portal messages, SMS texting, and phone calls.
  • Delegate patient questions to the registered nurse(s) or provider on the team that requires assessment and/or nursing education to maintain an appropriate scope of practice.
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients' families.
  • Comfort by anticipating anxieties, providing wellness resources, and answering questions as permitted.
  • Document patient care and instruction in EMR; responsible for accurate daily data entry into the clinical system.
  • Manage medication samples; receive, document stock, and reconcile inventory as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments on the patient's behalf, to get questions answered and facilitate treatment plans in the most efficient way possible.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and calling for assistance from other health care support personnel when appropriate.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in the sciences preferred (Public Health, Social Work, Biology, etc.) and/or experience as a certified medical assistant (CMA).
  • Women's health experience preferred.
  • Case management experience is a plus.
  • 2 years of demonstrated customer service; ideally in a clinical setting.
  • Experience with scheduling, clinical terminology, insurance coverage, and/or clinic protocols.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and privacy, coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills and preferably, experience with EMR documentation.
  • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$28.00 - $38.00 per hour

The compensation range for this position is between $28.00 - $38.00 per hour. Final compensation offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance.
